For its next act, the NMD R1 calls upon a clean new balance 997 and simple grey outfit, but adds a never-before-seen diagonal pattern to its midsole with stripes that continue to get thicker as the graphic begins to wrap around the model's heel. Completed by a set of grainy bumpers atop its stark white Boost-laden midsole, Three Stripes enthusiasts can have this new NMD R1 from select adidas houses right now. We've already seen the insanely popular adidas NMD release in an all "Solar Red" colorway this past September, but now adidas Originals is back with an alternate option for those of you that missed out. Unfortunately, this adidas NMD R1 doesn't feature the colorized Boost found in its predecessor nor does it utilize Primeknit, but for a general release, this is one of the best NMD options we've seen yet.
The adidas NMD R1 All-Red features a monochromatic ventilated mesh upper with camouflaged three stripe branding on the side panels thanks to a matching shade. A black outsole showcases the only contrast on this pair while a unique dual-colored lacing system features speckles of grey. The international "The Brand With The Three Stripes" new balance fresh foam hits the heel tab in this European exclusive release. Check out more detailed shots of this all-red adidas NMD option below and grab your pair while supplies last exclusively at JD Sports. The adidas Confirmed App just opened up reservations for three key NMD products the adidas NMD R1 PK for men, the adidas NMD City Sock PK Wool for men, converse a and the adidas NMD R1 for women.
The reservation window for all three pairs will close on Wednesday, September 7th, with pick-up dates scheduled for September 9th. If you're in "the zone" and want to lock in a pair, reserve yours now on the adidas Confirmed App. Despite its relative fall from grace, the adidas NMD R1 is still being rolled out in a plethora of fall-appropriate color schemes. Joining those ranks next is a striking combination of Collegiate Burgundy and Clear Orange. The darker of those two hues is vastly responsible for most of its Primeknit-infused upper, while orange makes its presence known on its midfoot bumpers. In familiar adidas NMD fashion, black and white provide contrast on its full length BOOST sole unit and outsole.
Previously confirmed converse shoes this summer as the "Multi-Color Dot", the "Colour Static" adidas NMD R1 is back with an official release date. This new eye-catching offering uses a wide array of colors speckled together on a primeknit upper that mimics the static on the screen of an old TV set. The sock-like ankle continues the static theme, but is broken up by vivid white stripes for contrast that match the clean white Boost sole and bumper units. adidas continues to flip the script on the exact definition of multicolor, introducing the concept in different patterns and with different palettes regularly. Pick up a pair of the "Colour Static" NMD R1s at select adidas retailers on November 11th.
While the NMD's typical Three Stripes heel loop is still in full effect, that same text can now be found on the medial side of the sneaker with the words "The Brand With The Three Stripes" spelled out in English, German, French, and Japanese. An introductory colorway of this newly designed adidas NMD is set to hit shelves on August 1st with Off White, Purple, and Neon Yellow details.
