Most people still think Water decks are just big blue walls that sit there and tank hits, but once you start playing fast lists in Pokémon TCG Pocket, that idea falls apart pretty quick when your attacks, your movement, and even your Pokemon TCG Pocket tool choices all push you to keep the pressure on instead of hiding behind HP.

Starmie ex Sets The Pace
You really feel the deck come alive when Starmie ex starts the game in the active spot because its attack does two jobs at once: it throws out real damage and quietly moves energy to your bench so your next attacker is already warming up before your opponent has even found their footing.

That energy shift means you do not panic when Starmie gets knocked out, since the moment it goes down you are already ready to promote another threat and keep swinging without wasting a turn attaching from hand and hoping you topdeck your way out of a bad spot.

Articuno ex And Greninja As Pressure Tools
Articuno ex looks a bit high-variance on paper, and yeah, the coin flips can tilt you now and then, but when the sleep lands at the right time it feels brutal because you are not just doing damage, you are forcing your opponent to dig for switches or other outs instead of developing their board the way they planned.

Greninja then plays clean-up, jumping in with its low retreat cost so you can swap around without burning resources, pick off damaged Pokémon, and reset into the attacker you actually want up front rather than getting stuck behind a clunky pivot.

Trainers That Keep You Moving
Misty's coin flip for paralysis might look like a gimmick card you would skip in slower formats, but in this build it buys you a whole extra turn whenever you hit heads, and that one extra attack window often decides whether you steamroll their board or give them enough time to stabilize.

Professor's Research is there purely so you do not sit on a dead hand, since dumping everything and drawing seven is usually better than pretending you can grind it out slow, and a simple Poké Ball line helps you grab the exact attacker or energy type you need instead of praying your next draw is kind.

When you run into control shells like Celebi that try to lock your hand and loop the same annoying plays, Marnie is your reset button because it shuffles their carefully built grip away and forces them to rebuild while you are already set up on board.

How To Actually Play The Deck
Most games start the same way: you want Starmie ex active as soon as you can, attacking early, spreading energy across the bench, and basically telling your opponent they have to answer you right now instead of sitting back and executing their own cute little plan.

If the game goes longer and they somehow survive the early push, you pivot into Articuno ex for those high-impact flips or bring in Greninja to finish off softened targets, and because the list focuses on cheap retreat and flexible attackers you will find yourself playing a very fluid, tempo-heavy style that keeps you in control of the pace of every turn, and if you want a smoother experience managing your resources and upgrades, a platform built to let you easily like buy game currency or items in RSVSR is really handy, so once you are comfortable with the strategy you can head over and pick up rsvsr Pokemon TCG Pocket Items to push your Water deck even further.
